Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #229

Can you believe we are in our second week of November?? Crazy!! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and then it will be Black Friday. Time sure does go by fast!! Are you ready for another awesome sketch from the t? I sure hope so because we have one for you!!

I love this sketch! When I first saw it our Designer Fabric jumped into mind so that is what I started with.

You don't need any Designer Series Paper if you have our Designer Fabrics on hand. The DSP that matches this fabric is now retired but the fabric is not so that is all that I used. Love it!!

This card uses Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric, Baja Breeze, Rose Red & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Antique Brads, Bring On the Cake Stamp Set, Chantilly 1/2" Crochet Trim, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit and my Big Shot using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder & Flower Folds Bigz xl Die.

These flowers are so easy to make!! I start with a scrap of foam cut into what ever size circle I want, a strip of fabric (I just rip my fabric off a fat quarter so I have the frayed edges), tie a small knot into one end of the fabric, hot glue it to the center of the foam circle and then just start twisting (loosely), gluing and moving in a circle until your fabric is gone.

To make my banners with each word on it is easy too. The stamp is actually "Happy Birthday" so what I did is cut two banners, ink up my stamp and by using a scrap of paper I covered up one of the words and stamped. Repeat this and cover up the other word to get the message separated. Easy!!

So what do you think?? I actually made this card with my mom in mind since her birthday is coming up. Hopefully she won't hop onto her computer and visit my blog before I have a chance to give it to her!!

Now head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to check out what the other Operators did with this same sketch. I am sure you won't be disappointed!!

Have a great day!!
