Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #223

I am so happy it is the weekend!! This was another rough week and since month end fell on a Friday I had to work today, that means I did not get to play in My Crafty Studio. Hopefully I can get in there this weekend to play!! But for now I have another awesome sketch for all of you from the Stamping 411 Blog.

This one really struck me and I had alot of playing with it!!

I needed a birthday card for my niece so I decided to use this weeks sketch. I started with the Flirtatious Specialty DSP, Melon Mambo & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Melon Mambo 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Natural Designer Buttons, Natural Hemp Twine and the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set.

I just love these big bows!! I do attach my button treatment to the bow using a hot glue gun. This makes sure that button does not fall off!!

I took one of the lacey sheets of DSP that is in this specialty pack, glued it onto my card and then cut my card out. I just love the look of this lace background!! About you??

Now hop on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to check out the other Operators and join us for this Sketch Challenge!! I know we are looking for our next Featured Stamper for January and the more times you play along with us the better your chances of getting picked are!! ;)

Have a great day!!

Old Window Make Over

Don't you just love old windows? Well if you haven't thought about it before this post you will be running out to try and find some!!

A customer of mine found this old window frame and wanted me to add one of our Decor Elements to it so she could hang it in her home. She decided on the Life Milestones in black size medium.

Just look how it turned out!!! Needless to say she LOVED it!!! I am so happy with how it turned out and it was pretty easy to do too!! When you get your Decor Element just cut up the saying by cutting it into however many sections you need for your window and adhere to the top of the glass. I added the fabric flowers and she loved those too!!

These flowers were made using the Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric, Whisper White, Basic Black & Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Natural Hemp Twine, Black & Clear Crystal Simply Adorned Baubles and my Big Shot with the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die.

You need to cut out several of each flower on this die using the different fabrics and card stock. After cutting them out I scrunched them all up, sprayed them with my aresol hairspray and set them outside to dry in the sun. After they dried I layered them together gluing them together with my hot glue gun. I did attach them to the window using E6000 glue to make sure they do not pop off.

Now I am off to find lots of different sized old window frames to create one of a kind artwork to sell at our Craft Fairs this Winter!!

Have a great day!

My Carty SisTAHs Card Swap

I know I have shared cards in the past that I have created for my team's monthly card swaps. I do a card swap with my team each month with different themes. This one was done with the theme of the Big Shot. We had to use something on our card or create our card using the Big Shot.

This card is actually a CASE of a card I found on Pinterest. Never heard of Pinterest? Well it is this totally awesome website that lets you create your own "boards" and save favorite tutorials, pictures and ideas to them for future use. It is like being able to dog ear the Internet!!!! Love it!!!

Follow Me on Pinterest

For my card I used the brand new Snow Burst Embossing Folder with my Big Shot and Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake & Whisper White Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, 2 1/2" Circle Punch and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.

I hope you liked!!?? This card was super easy to re-create using all Stampin' Up! products and just might become my Christmas Card!!

Have a great day!!
